Cremation is under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Ileen was born on
August 2, 1921 in Rexburg, Idaho to Benjamin Thomas and Rose Davies. She graduated from Hamer High School in 1939. On August 16, 1949, Ileen married Francis X.
McArthur, D.V.M., in Boise, Idaho. They
were married for 57 years before his death in 2006.
Ileen worked for the
Department of Agriculture and also with her husband at Bench Animal Hospital.
She enjoyed golf,
bowling and tennis and spending time with her family and friends, including
Canine Companions. Ileen was a member of
St. Al’s Auxiliary, the Idaho Women’s Golf Association, and Idaho Veterinary
Medical Association Auxiliary.
Survivors include
her sons, Thomas McArthur, Boise, ID and Tim McArthur, Donnelly, ID. In addition to her parents and husband, Ileen
was preceded in death by nine siblings, other family, friends and numerous
pets.
Memorials are
suggested to the Idaho Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
The family would
