Jack E Spencer

May 25,1945-November 5,2021

Boise, Idaho –

Jack died peacefully in his home on November 5, 2021.  Jack was born in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Borah High School in 1964.  He married the love of his life DeAnne (Dee) Mick on June 10, 1965, and had two children,  Misty Spencer (Evans) and Scott Spencer.  Jack was a great salesman and worked for Stein Distributing for 25 years and various HVAC companies until he retired.  He was always a kind soul who had a laugh you could hear from a mile away and it would instantly make you smile.  He loved camping and being in the wilderness , a true lumber “Jack” at heart so much so that he moved to the mountains in his 50’s and enjoyed the wilderness and getting firewood to prepare for each winter.  Jack was a collector of taxidermy and enjoyed showing his collection to all his family and friends and sharing his stories of each and everyone of them.  He loved animals, wild and domestic,  as if they were all his pets and he was here to love and feed the wildlife and even saving the smallest bug and putting it back in the yard if it was trapped in the house.  Jack had so many dogs and cats during his lifetime and loved every single one of them as if they were his children.  Everyone Jack met became his friend and he always wanted to hear their story.  He always made sure if it was your birthday to call and sing you “Happy Birthday”.  Jack will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years , Dee Spencer, and his daughter and son-in-law, Misty (Spencer) Evans and Brent Evans, his grandchildren,  Colton Evans & Ashley (Morris) Evans,  Sierra (Evans) Marquez & Taven Marquez,  Kendra (Evans) Kafka & Nate Kafka.  His great granddaughters Amelia and Lucy Evans and Lakelynn Marquez,  and his brother Dick Spencer and wife Norma and all his brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of his Life will be held November 19 th at Bridgepoint Church, 2530 Broadway Ave, Boise ID, 83706 at 11:00  am.  A lunch reception will follow at the  church to share stories and memories of Jack.
