Jack was born September 16, 1931 in Baker, Oregon to Floyd and
Laura Hays Fleshman
.
The family moved to Clarkston
,
Washington
in 1935 and on August 26, 1936 his brother Keith was born.
Jack graduated from Clarkston High School in May of 1949. He
lettered in track, where he held the school record

n
the high hurdles for several years. He attended Lewiston Idaho Normal School,
now known as Lewi
s
and Clark State College
.
He
decided that college was not for him and mov
e
d
to Boise in the win
t
er of 1949. He lived with his aunt
,
un
c
le,
2 cousins, and grandmother.
Jack met Betty Jean Nisson at the Church of God and they were
engaged in the spring of 1950. They were married on September 22, 1950. This
marriage was blessed with four children: Dorothy Ann, Donald Leroy, Cheryle
Lynn
,
and Darryl Gene.
Jack worked for Town
&
Country
Bakery and then was hired by Joe Albertson to work for Albertson's Bakery. He
managed several Boise locations until his retirement in 1994. His wife
,
Betty,
enjoyed the time with him in his retirement then decided that he needed to go
back to work. He worked for 3 years as a screening agent at the Boise Airport
.
Jack had many interests. He enjoyed camping, traveling w
i
th
friends and family, reading, crossword puzzles and attending any activity
involving his grandchildren and great grandchildren
.
You
could find Jack every Sunday morning at Boise First Community Church welcoming
guests and handing out bulletins.
He
i
s survived by his brother Keith (Bev) Fleshman, his children
Dorothy Ann (Richard) Beaver, Cheryle Lynn Fleshman, Darryl Gene Fleshman and
eight grandchildren: Shad Michael Fleshman-Cooper, Laura Ann (Beaver) Elias,
Antoinette Marie (Beaver) McKnight (Jake), Nicole Elisabeth (Cooper) Wayne
(Colby)

Christopher Michael (Adryenne) Fleshman, Marisa Marie (Cooper)

,
Karen Agnes (Beaver) Zimmerman (Eric) and Jordan Nicho

Dan (Tara) Fleshman

Doug Fleshman and Darryn (Donna) Fleshman, and several great
nieces and nephews. His beloved pet Sir Paddington Bear of York, aka Paddy also
survives him. A special place was held in his heart for his "adopted
family members" Nick and Karen Cooper, the Jonathon Vance family, Mandy
Brockett Fleshman and Marc Foote.

will be held on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Boise First
Community Center.
