James A. Nord "Jim" of Boise, Idaho died suddenly at home, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 3, 2011 at the age of 75.
Jim was born on July 24, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Marjorie Pries and Roy Hjalmer Nord. Marjorie later married James F. Wilson and moved to Boise, Idaho where Jim continued his education and joined the Army in 1955. Jim married Coralee Minton on August 29, 1958.
Jim & Coralee raised four children. Terry (Christy) Nord, Todd (Jenine) Nord, Tina (Steve) Gatzemeyer, Trisha (Steve) Leriget. They also have 16 grandchildren. Tyler (Kimi), Whitney, Hannah, Jordan, Cody, Sara, Trevor, Garrett (Amy), Trent, Rylee, Brooke, Jake, Laura, and Mitch; and a Great Grandchild. Quenby. Additional family include his Aunt Hazel Wolnick, cousins, and two stepsisters.
Jim's career began at Syms- York as a printing salesman and eventually retiring from Joslyn-Morris in 2000.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and hiking, biking, boating, camping, cross¬country skiing, square dancing (Capital Squares), and became quite the gun enthusiast.
Jim was an active member of Cole Community Church and was involved in a home bible study group.
A viewing will be held at Alden- Waggoner Funeral Chapel, on Friday, April 8,2011 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. A memorial service will be held at Cole Community Church, 8775 Ustick Road, Boise at 10:00a.m., Saturday, April 9. A graveside service will follow at Joplin Cemetery with military honors by the Idaho Army National Guard.
