My beloved fathe r James (Jim) T . Ross passed away on October 17 , 2011 and went to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ i n everlast i ng life .

Dad was born in Mt. Aire , North Carolina on Apr i l 4 , 1922 . He was in the Army Air Co r ps , which later became the Air Force , from 1943 to 1945 . He was a gunner and radio man in a B-26 and flew 64 missions in the European Theater.

He married h i s w i fe Irene on November 27 th 1946 . They we r e marr i ed for 48 wonde r fu l years . I was their only ch i ld , and remember spending many happy times fishing , camping and tak i ng cross country trips to North Carolina on a tra i n from Bo i se and in Ford Thunderb i rds .

We lived in Boise and Dad was a successful businessman owning and operating Vista Lockers and other business ventures .

After Jim retired , he spent his leisure time reading and enjoying h i s family . He looked fo r ward to meeting his coffee buddies at Denny ' s . He enjoyed going on camping t r i ps with mom and they spent many happy years together before she passed in 1994.

Dad spent his later years at Willow Park and I want t o thank them for their excellent care in working with Jim over the years . Jim would also want to thank Castle Rock Services and TresCo of Idaho for the i r many personal serv i ces they p r ovided to make his life better.

Jim is survived by his son Bill Ross, brothers, Charles and Edward Ross , his niece , Pauleen Van Fossed and her husband Richard and numerous other family members. Jim was preceded in death by his parents William and Maude Ross and his wife Irene .

I feel that I was the luckiest and most blessed child to have had Jim and Irene as my mom and dad.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Meridian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
