which later became the Air Force

1943 to 1945
.
He was a gunner and radio man in a B-26 and flew 64 missions in
the European Theater.
He

.
I was their only ch

ld
,
and
remember spending many happy times fishing
,
camping
and tak
i
ng cross country trips to North Carolina on a tra

se and in Ford Thunderb

rds
.
We
lived in Boise and Dad was a successful businessman owning and operating Vista
Lockers and other business ventures
.
After
Jim retired
,
he spent his leisure time reading and enjoying h
i
s family
.
He
looked fo
r
ward to meeting his coffee buddies at Denny
'
s
.
He
enjoyed going on camping t
r
i
ps with mom and they spent many happy years together before she
passed in 1994.
Dad
spent his later years at Willow Park and I want
t
o thank
them for their excellent care in working with Jim over the years
.

would also want to thank Castle Rock Services and TresCo of Idaho for the

r many
personal serv
i
ces they p
r
ovided to make his life better.
Jim
is survived by his son Bill Ross, brothers, Charles and Edward Ross
,
his
niece
,
Pauleen Van Fossed and her husband Richard and numerous other
family members. Jim was preceded in death by his parents William and Maude Ross
and his wife Irene
.
I feel that I was the luckiest and most blessed child to
have had Jim and Irene as my mom and dad.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25,
2011, at Meridian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of
Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
