Jason John Lathim, 48, of Boise, Idaho passed
away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in a local hospital after suffering
complications from a pulmonary embolism.
Born March 26, 1970 in Boise, Idaho, Jason was the son of John and Lynda
(Wallace) Lathim.
He attended school in the Boise area and loved
playing football. Even before he was out
of high school, Jason began a career in the landscaping business, which along
with periodic framing jobs in construction, became his chosen profession
throughout his short life. His passion
was hunting and fishing.
Jason married Kira Prusha in 1995 and became
the proud father of two sons and a daughter, Alexander (Alec) Wyatt (23), Connor
Ryan (18), and Chloe Rose (15). Jason
and Kira divorced in 2004.
He was handsome, talented, hard working,
outgoing, and loved life, which showed vibrantly all the time through his
silliness and keen sense of humor. He
will be missed so very badly by all his family, including so many, many cousins
who thought the world of him, and many close friends.
In 2014, Jason met the love of his life, Celia
Lisby, and became ever so close to her boys, Dillon (Lidia) Porter and son
Andrew; Derick Porter and daughter Lilly; and Drew (Sara) Porter and children
Kara and Harper; and her mother, Lucy Warren, who he considered his second Mom. Celia’s grandchildren all called him J Pa.
Jason was bursting at the seams when his son
Alec and Berina Vatric made him a grandfather to Hagan Alexander on August 5,
2018, the baby he didn’t get to know very long but that he adored and was so
proud of.
Jason is survived by his love, Celia Lisby and
her family of Boise; his beloved children, Alec (Berina Vatric) Lathim and
grandson, Hagan; Connor Lathim, and Chloe Lathim, all of Boise; his mother,
Lynda (Lathim) Rush of Nampa; one sister, Kymberly (James) Bowers of Marsing; and
one brother, Zane (Carol Vasel) Lathim of Nampa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Dell and Jessie (Reeves) Lathim and Charles and Esther (Eells) Wallace; a
brother, Spencer Lyn Lathim; his father, John Howard Lathim; an infant
daughter, Brenna Hope Lathim; and a sister, Kamala Esther Lathim Hill.
A veiwing will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
