Jason “JT” Yost began his journey on August 20, 1976, the
eldest son of Michael Yost and Linda (Plumlee) Yost. His journey came to a
sudden stop at the gates of heaven on December 31, 2014 where he was welcomed
into the arms of Jesus, his father Michael, and grandparents.
Jason was born and raised in
Emmett
,
Idaho
, graduating from
Emmett
High School
in 1994. He lived his entire life in the
Treasure
Valley
buying a home in Kuna, only venturing outside the area when he traveled with
family and friends. He loved to travel and looked forward to all the little
trips regardless if it was a day trip to
Idaho
City
or across the country to
Washington
,
D.C.
He collected postcards and other souvenirs from all his travels. He loved his
many trips with his beloved wife, Jennifer. He met Jennifer Nye September 24, 2004
and they married on November 4, 2006. He and Jennifer shared a love of dogs and
welcomed Snickers to the family in 2005.
He loved Snickers who he treated as his little girl and spoiled rotten. Everyone
who knew him feel an emptiness and sadness at his passing at such a young age.
Words cannot express the deep appreciation his family has for all the kind
words and thoughts that they have received over the past days. Jason was a kind
man with a good heart and will be dearly missed by his wife Jennifer, daughters
Charlotte and Grace from a previous marriage, his mother Linda, and brother
Cody. He had an amazing bond with
children and they gravitated to him. He treated his nieces Tyra, Bailey and
Kristy Nye
, nephews Nathan Nye, Heath and Noah Marx with
love and affection. He worked for many years at Qwest and served as a union
rep. He still includes several former co – workers among his circle of friends
and kept in contact with them over the years. He loved to make people laugh
with his funny faces, voices and jokes. He was an avid music listener with well
over 5000 songs in his collection. He loved going to the movies with his mom,
brother, Jennifer and anyone else who wanted to join him. Those who knew Jason
well called him “JT” and that he was a longtime fan of the 49ers and cubs, but
a fanatic about the BSU Broncos. At the time of his passing, he was looking
forward to the next Fiesta Bowl. You are welcome to display your BSU colors
with us Thursday in his memory. Jason is survived by his wife Jennifer, dog
Snickers, daughters Charlotte and Grace, mother Linda, brother Cody, in – laws
Oscar and Barbara Nye; Justin, Nancy, Tyra and Bailey Nye; Heath, Jamie, Heath
Jr. and Noah Marx; and Nathan Nye and
Kristy Nye
,
as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
