Jay P. Baker, 69, of Garden Valley, ID,
died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at a Boise hospital of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00
a.m., Friday, November 23, 2012 at Crouch Community Church, Crouch, ID with
Pastor Brian Smith officiating. A
luncheon will follow.
Jay was born on February 26, 1943 in
McGill, NV to Kenneth and Nona Rowley Baker.
He grew up on a family cattle ranch near Ely, NV. He graduated from high school in Ely, and
then attended Boise State. He served in
the United States Army. Jay married
Linda and they lived in Eagle and Garden Valley, ID.
Jay was employed by Idaho Power before
his retirement. He enjoyed reading,
hunting, flying and service.
Survivors include his wife, Linda,
Garden Valley, ID; daughter, Lani K.
Matthews (Tony), Jackson, WY; mother, Nona Baker, Eagle, ID; sister, Elaine
Baker, Garden Valley, ID; and brother, Kenneth Baker (Cheryle), Garden Valley,
ID. He was preceded in death by his
father.
Memorials are suggested to the Crouch
Community Church or to a charity of your choice.
