Jean Hallie Thomson Law went to be with her Lord and Savior on December the 1st, 2020.

Jean was born on October 10th, 1925 to Harry and Gladys Thomson in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Jean lived in Glenns Ferry and Pocatello, Idaho and Colfax, Washington before the family settled in Nampa, Idaho where she grew up. Her father operated a Veltex service station next door to their home in Nampa. Jean went to Kenwood grade school, Central Jr High and Nampa Sr High where she graduated in 1944. She attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho and graduated in 1949. She then worked in the office of Lakeview Grade School in Nampa and taught 3rd and 4th grades at Greenleaf Elementary School. While teaching at Greenleaf Jean married James Law on July 15,1949. They then lived in Marsing, Idaho where she taught 4th grade at Edison Grade School. They later moved south of Lake Lowell where Jim worked for the Caldwell Board of Control.They then moved to a ranch North of Glenns Ferry where Jim worked as a ranch hand. Jim got a position in 1953 working in Boise so they then moved to  the big city and made their permanent home there where Jean lived until the spring of 2019 when she moved into Grace Assisted Living in Boise just around the corner from her home. Jean worked as a teacher aid at Indian Creek Elementary School in Kuna, Idaho for two years beginning in 1975 and later worked at Hubbard Elementary in Kuna as a Title One teacher for 1st and 2nd graders. She retired in 1981.

Jean is survived by her two children. Barbara Wedman of Hailey, Idaho and Dennis Law and wife Karen of Boise. Three grand children, Lisa Zappa and husband Tony, Melissa Wedman of Boise and Christopher Law and wife Jennifer of Delavan, Wisconsin and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband James and sister Annabeth Bean.

Jean was a member of Meridian First Baptist where she and Jim were involved with different church ministries. Many summers they spent volunteering at Camp Maranatha at Warm Lake, enjoying Gods creations in the mountains.

Memorials may be made to the Boise Rescue Mission.
