Jeffrey Shane Branson, age 57, died Thursday, January 12,
2017 of natural causes. Jeff was born on July 1, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho to
Lynn Scott (Bud) and Betty (Day) Branson. He attended elementary school in
Pocatello, Fairmont Junior High in Boise, and graduated from Capital High
School in 1978. He later attended Boise State University and graduated from the
surgical technology program.
During high school, Jeffrey began working at Warm Springs
Golf Course and BMC Lumber Co. Upon graduation he was employed at Pay and Pack
Home Improvement Center. He later enjoyed a long career at St. Luke’s Regional
Medical Center in Boise as a surgical technologist in orthopedics and
endoscopy. Complications of Juvenile Onset (Type 1) Diabetes forced him into early
retirement.
Jeffrey enjoyed playing golf, beginning at an early age.
He was the ultimate audiophile, amassing a large collection of his favorite
music. He valued his relationships with musicians, professional associates and
many friends.
He is survived by his parents, Lynn Scott (B.J.) Branson,
Betty (Tom) Wilson; his sister
;
special friend Heather Haynes and numerous
relatives.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at a later
date. Cremation and burial services in Dry Creek Cemetery are under the
direction of Alden Waggoner Funeral Home. Donations in Jeff’s memory may be
made to a favorite charity or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26
