It
is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and
friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jesse Graham, of Boise, Idaho, who
passed away at the age of 86, on September 12, 2019.
Jesse
was born in Greenwood, Missouri in 1933 to Jesse and Gordie Graham. He was
predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Gordie Graham and his brother, Bob
Graham.
He
is survived by his wife Bessie Graham, his children, Rebecca Haas (and husband,
Johnathan), Dale Graham, Brian Graham (and wife, Elizabeth) his grandchildren,
Courtney, Lindsey, Alyssa, Brian, and great-grandaughter Kauai. Also, by his
brother, Benjamin Graham (and his wife, Susan) of Imperial, California and
sister, Sharon Hudson, of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He also leaves nine
nieces, five nephews, plus cousins and many friends. He will be deeply missed.
He
married the love of his life, Bessie Harvkey in 1951. The newlyweds moved to El
Centro, California in 1952 to work for Interstate Brands Corporation. In 1974,
he had a job transfer to Littleton, Colorado. In 1981, he was transferred to
Boise, Idaho as Chief Engineer for Interstate Brands Corporation (Eddie’s
Bakery). He worked for Interstate Brands Corporation for 46 years and retired
in 1998.
Jesse
loved camping and spent many summers with Bessie, his children, his parents and
in-laws in Albee Creek, California and Buffalo Creek, Colorado and traveling
the Southwest and Northwest.
Jesse
enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his grandkids. He was known as “Mr.
Fix-it” in our family. Anything we needed built or repaired he could do
it!.
His
craftsmanship was known in the church. He donated many hours on projects that
involved building or repairs and he participated in special holiday church
pageants. He was also an usher for several years.
A
celebration of his life will be held at Cloverdale Church of God, 3755 South
Cloverdale Road, Boise, on Wednesday, September 18th at 2:00 pm.
