Joan Cooper

June 29th, 1935 – December 29th, 2022

Joan, 87, passed away at home surrounded by family. Doris Joan Bailey was born in Hugoton, Kansas, to Ralph and Lillie (Ramsey). Her family moved to Idaho when she was 3, and settled in Meridian. She graduated from Meridian High School in 1953. She married her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Cooper, in 1956 in Winnemucca, Nevada. They were married 62 years and had 3 children. She enjoyed camping in the mountains with her family. She enjoyed playing slot machines in Jackpot, Nevada, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She had a great love for animals, especially her little dog Wally.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, brother Don, and sister Dorothy. She is survived by her children Doug (Connie) Cooper, Rhonda (Mike) Key, Sheri (David) Earl, and her grandchildren Shaun (Jodi), Kendra (Anthony), Nicole (Spencer), Keira, Michael (Colleen), Madison, and her great grandkids Kaelynn, Paisley, Daxton, Emmett, Evelynn, and “Wally”, her dog.
