John L. Hoffmann, Jr
Our beloved son, brother, and uncle, John L. Hoffmann, Jr., of Boise, passed away at an assisted living facility on April 22, 2016.
He was born to John L. and Elaine Hoffmann on February 6, 1944 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
John attended Cole and Franklin schools and graduated from Borah High School in 1962. He attended Boise Junior College and served in the Idaho National Guard.
John worked for Alexanders, Safeway, Club Wholesale, and Albertson’s.
He enjoyed water skiing, fishing and spending time at the family cabin at Lake Cascade.
John is survived by his mother, Elaine Hoffmann, brothers Mark Hoffmann (Rebecca), Thomas Hoffmann (Amy) and sister, Janis Hoffmann Thumler (Al), niece Sarah, and nephews Mark and Connor.
John loved his family and friends dearly. Special thanks to the staff at Willow Park Assisted Living for their loving care of John.
There will be a private family burial service. A memorial service will be held on May 14, 3 pm, at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Boise. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choosing.
