John L. Thompson

Died 6/15/2021 Eagle, Idaho

Survived by his wife Judi, daughters Lisa (Allen) Caviness, Johnna Thompson, son Jason (Rachel) Thompson. Grandchildren, Tyler (Nicole), Wyatt, Allissa (Zac), Justin, Taylor, Zach and Katie. Great grandchildren, Weston, Shaylee, Kelsa. His brother James (Jean) of Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents Laurence and Marie, Sisters Joan, Lois and Evelyn.

John was a long time member of local 296 Plumbers and Pipefitters. He worked for Honeywell and Robert Shaw as a control fitter and owned his own business from 1984-2000, at which time he retired.

He was an avid water skier and drag racer in his younger days. He loved classic cars and snowmobiles. John built a cabin for his family and helped many friends and family members build and add on to their homes and cabins. He was always there to help.

John was a member of the TVAPA tractor puller association for 20 years and enjoyed spending time at the Idaho State Fair educating people about antique tractors, engines and farm equipment. He loved his engines and tractors.

He was loving and generous, always with a helping hand for others. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
