John Merton Liese age 38, passed away December 28, 2015. John was born in Sun Valley, Idaho, the loving son of Ron and Mary Liese on November 1, 1977. The family moved to Boise in 1991 where John made lifelong friends and graduated from Capital High School in 1996 and played baseball and football. He attended college in Butte, Mt., and then transferred to MSU and was proud to earn a degree in Civil Engineering in 2002. John always gave it his all whether it was playing sports, being a loyal friend, a loving son, father, brother, or uncle. You could always count on Johnny to lend a hand anytime his family or friends needed. John and his 2 brothers, Marcus and Lucas had a very special bond, MRL + JML + LWL = BROTHERS IN ARMS. John moved back from his beloved Montana to Boise in 2014 after several years in the construction, engineering, and heavy equipment industry and was building an appraisal and consulting company. He was scheduled to complete his final American Society of Appraisers’ examinations in January 2016. He loved the mountains of Montana and Wallowa county Oregon, and was an avid hunter, shooting his first buck on his grandfather’s ranch in Lostine, Oregon.
John’s big smile and easy ways will be missed by many.
