Joshua Ines Hernandez, who was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, leaving a legacy of determination, resilience and grit. The firstborn of Gloria and the first grandson, Joshua, was known for his feisty nature, charming and humorous personality, and even his bright red shirt. Though life presented him with many challenges, Joshua remained strong and determined.
He is survived by his loving family: his mother Gloria; younger brother Josiah; younger sister Jasmine; nephew Mateo; and his cherished children, Lily, Carter, and Alaia. They will always hold his memory close to their hearts, along with his grandfather, Jose, and extended family members, Harve, Art, Olga, Ruben, and Yolanda (Ita), all from California.
Preceded in death by his adoring grandmother, Yolanda Origel, who fell in love with him even before he was born, and his dear auntie, Elvia Origel, Joshua will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
He will always be remembered for his vibrant personality, charisma, and enduring spirit. His favorite quote will always serve as a reminder of Joshua's resolve:
"The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place, and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa
