Joy Suzanne Gallagher (Nee Clarke) was born in Calgary,
Alberta March 25, 1946. Joy passed away
December 19, at her home in Boise, Idaho, loving wife of Philip Gallagher. She was predeceased by her parents William
and Nesta Clarke, sisters Lenore Redel and Mona Cherniwchan. Survived by her sister Marion Moyes, several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joy attended school in Calgary, graduating as a Chemical
Technologist. She then worked briefly in
a lab for Pillsbury Canada. Then she
went into the ministry in 1967, retiring in 1984. Joy then lived in Edmonton learning
secretarial skills and became an assistant to the head of an engineering
firm. She married Philip Lloyd Gallagher
November 24, 1990. They moved to Juneau,
Alaska where they lived and worked in several departments for the State
Government and other various jobs during their retirement, before their
subsequent move to Boise in 2011. Joy
was very sociable, loving and caring.
Her life centered on her faith, family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held in Boise, Idaho.
