Juanita Calver passed away on July 28
th
, 2017 at the age of 91. She
was born in Waldron, Arkansas in 1925. She was married Delmer Langston for 20
years and had two sons, Albert and Duane. She would not find the love of her
life until she was in her 40's. She spent 30 very happy years with her husband,
Bob Calver, before he passed away in 2009. They traveled throughout Europe and
Asia together and shared many wonderful memories.
Juanita grew up on an Arkansas farm
in a time when the country was trying to regain its footing after the
depression. Life was simple and difficult for her. She worked at everything from
farm chores, picking cotton in the fields and working in the sugar mill to
operating a rivet gun building war planes during World War II. She w
orked as a waitress for many years and loved it. She
often said she didn't know what she would do without that job. Seeing the people
and chatting with them everyday gave her so much joy.
She had a warm, friendly smile that
made everyone around her feel welcome and at home.
During the last year of her
life she was lovingly cared for by Rosemary Ball, her granddaughter and dearest
friend. All who knew Juanita will remember her positive, outgoing personality
and her genuinely kind nature. She is leaving this world to join her husband,
Bob and her oldest son, Albert. This world will miss her.
