Judy Rose
Judy was
born Mary June Modin on the 14 day of June 1928 In Forest Grove Oregon to
Andrew Modin and Sadie (Carlson) Modin.
She was the little sister to Elton Modin (1922-1944)
In 1937 the
Family moved to Boise and shortly afterward her father built a home at the
corner of 22
nd
and Ellis Ave. in Boise. She attended both Washington
and Lowell elementary, North Jr. High and graduated from Boise High. She then
attended the College of Idaho, where she became a member of the Tri Delta
sorority.
She was a lifelong member and
her Tri Delta sisters and she met often throughout the years to play bridge and
“gab”. At the age of 22 she became a broker in her father’s real estate office
where she worked until he retired. She married Jay Capener (1926-2008) in 1950.
They divorced in 1961.Larry was born Sept 30
th
1951 (died 2010),
Brad was born July 21
st
1955 and Neal was born Aug 25th 1957 (died 1970).
There were seven grandchildren (Larry’s
family) Mellissa, Angela and Erin. (Brad’s family) Brandon, Janel, Jesse and
Ty.
She also has nine Great
Grandchildren
.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 20, at 11 a.m. at Morris Hill Cemetery.
