Julia Marlowe Brokate, 90 of Boise,
ID, was called away to our Heavenly Father, January 20th, 2014 at the Idaho
State Veteran’s Hospital.
She was born in Dodge City, Kansas
on November 5th, 1923 to William Kinkade and Martha Musick-Kinkade. Julia
grew up in Dodge City with her siblings: Ethel, Jean and Robert. During
WWII she proudly joined the Army Air Force and worked with “The Air Power Show”
handling war time public relation needs. Julia married Henry Simon and had six
children: Kathleen, Elnora, Carlena, Joseph, David and Lynette. Later she
married Bert Brokate and was married to him until his death 19 years later.
Julia worked as a teacher and a beautician until she graduated from Boise State
College with her Nursing Degree.
She is survived by her brother
Robert his wife Norma. Her children: Elnora, Carlena (her husband Brian,)
Joseph (his wife Brenda) and Lynette (her husband Larry.) Eleven grandchildren,
ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Julia was preceded
in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Ethel and Jean and two children:
Kathleen and David.

A memorial service will be held on
Tuesday, January 28th, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church at 3020 W. Cherry Ln,
on the corner of Cherry Ln. and Shoshone St., Boise, ID 83705. A private
graveside service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery.
