Karen F. Johntz, 67, of
Boise, Idaho, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at home of natural causes.
Karen was born on
September 20, 1948, in Council, Idaho to Robert and Faye Burton, joining two
brothers, Bobbie and Larry. At the age
of five she moved with her family to Emmett, ID, graduating from Emmett High
School in 1966. She then went on to
attend Boise State University and graduated in 1974.
Karen married the love of
her life, Andy Johntz, in 1968. They
shared their lives with a number of dogs, and enjoyed going to the mountains,
camping, fishing and hiking.
Karen retired from
Deloitte tax department after twenty-five years of service. She very much enjoyed the work and her
co-workers. Karen always had a great
relationship with her clients.
Karen was preceded in
death by her father, Robert, mother, Faye, and her brothers, Bobbie and
Larry. Survivors include her husband,
Andy; niece, Dawn; brother-in-law, Kevin Johntz; numerous cousins; and best
friends, Julie Moseley, Glenna Muirbrook, and Linda Smith.
A memorial service will
be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral
Chapel.
