Kathleen Mingo Kramer, 75, of
Boise died at home on December 6
th
after a long illness.
She was born July 26, 1936 in
Twin Falls to Arthur and Bertha O’Halloran Mingo.
She grew up in Twin Falls with her four older
brothers, attending St. Edwards Catholic School and graduating in 1954 from
Twin Falls High School.
Kathleen worked
as a legal secretary for Rayborn, Rayborn & Kramer, later for Harry Turner
and finally for Kramer, Smith & Beeks.
Kathleen married George Jones
in 1956 and they were later divorced.
She married Norman Prentice
in 1961, living in Las Vegas and Jackpot, Nevada, and in Boise. They were later
divorced.
In 1969, she married Douglas
D. Kramer in Twin Falls.
In 1975, Doug
was elected 5
th
District Judge and they relocated to Hailey, then to
Boise in 1989 after Doug’s medical retirement.
Kathleen’s passions included
spending time with her family, painting, listening to jazz music, working in
her garden, and supporting animal welfare and rescue organizations.
She is survived by her four
children; Theresa (Mike) Gabica of Twin Falls, Kristine Watkins of Boise,
Richard (Kathy) Prentice of Eagle, and Samuel (Ramona) Kramer of Kuna, her half
brother Don Mingo of Pocatello, her step-daughters Susan (John)
Blumenshein
and Nancy Jones of St. John,
WA, ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband Douglas, and her four brothers Harry,
Charles, Robert, and Albert Mingo.
Kathleen was deeply loved by
her family and friends and will be missed but never forgotten.
The family would like to
express their appreciation to Hearts for Hospice and Bright Star Home Health
for their care and support.
In lieu of
flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to your local animal
shelter.
A memorial service Was held
at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at
Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave., Boise.
