Kathryn Jane Mills died August 31, 2013. Her funeral will be Friday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 pm at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, in Boise. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September, 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Kathryn was born Feb 13, 1942, the fifth of eight children, to Edward and Mary Potratz of Washington, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Washington.
In 1961 Kathryn heard and embraced the gospel, which became her life and brought joy and strength.
Kathryn completed nurses’ training in 1963 and married Wayne Mills in 1966. She and Wayne lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin for about two years and moved to Boise in 1968 where they have lived since. Greg was born in 1968 and Eric in 1970. Kathryn continued working part-time as an RN until she began helping Wayne in his physical therapy practice. She was always curious and had many interests. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and landscaping and art.
We are grateful to Family Hospice and to Advanced Home Health for their help the past 15 months. We are especially thankful for our friends and their support.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, sons, siblings, and many friends.
