Kathy (Kathleen) Slemons Lee danced her way to heaven on October

, 2016 in her home in Boise, ID. Kathy was born in Wendell, ID on March 29, 1949 to Fred and Marion Slemons of Jerome, ID. Kathy owned and operated the Kathy Lee School of Dance in Boise for 24 years. In those 24 years and beyond Kathy inspired, taught, mentored, helped, and befriended hundreds of families and thousands of youth in the Treasure Valley. Kathy will always be respected and remembered as teacher, friend, champion for the arts, sister, wife, mother, and what was her favorite job in life...Grandma. Kathy is survived by her sister Sharon Slemons, husband of 45 years Pat Lee, daughter Amanda Lee, son and daughter in law Clay and Heather Lee, and four wonderful grandchildren Austin, Jade, Bobby, and Gavin Lee. Kathy was never one wanting to be in the spotlight...that is okay, there is not enough light to outshine her heart anyway!
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers please support the local dance community through donations and scholarships at studios to help spread the love of dance so many of us have enjoyed through being a part of Kathy’s life. We love you mom!!
