Kelley Wilson Lower

Kelley Wilson Lower was born on October 2, 1960 in Boise, Idaho to Raymond and Lela Lower. He was the youngest of four siblings. He spent his younger years playing sports and trumpet in the marching band. Kelley attended Borah High School and Boise State University. He remained a lifelong Broncos fan.

The most important thing in Kelley’s life was family. His world revolved around his children and grandchildren. He had a huge heart and was a father figure to many, always willing to share anything he had and take care of anyone who needed help.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Kelley spent more than 30 years working for the Idaho Transportation Department. He was forced into early retirement in October of 2020 amidst his battle with cancer. He fought long and hard to stay and take care of his kids but ultimately passed, in his home surrounded by his family, on April 14, 2021.

Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lela Lower. He is survived by his children: Tabitha Lower, Tiffiny (Cody) Tam, Taylor (Sharrie) Lower and Trent Israel and his grandchildren: Kendall and Amelia Lower and Teagan Tam. As well as his siblings: Connie Lower, Ted Lower and Peggy (Steve) Bennett and many nieces, nephews, friends and surrogate children who will miss him greatly.

In lieu of flowers, his children have requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
