Kenneth O. Morris, 77, of Boise, Idaho, passed away at home on April 25, 2012.

He was born September 30, 1034 in Malad, Idaho and grew up in Arco, Idaho, the eldest son of 8 children born to Orlando and Leora Morris.

At the age of 19 he was inducted into the Army on November 20, 1953 in Boise, ID.  He left for Ft. Lewis, Washington to serve his country underneath the 7 th infantry Division, 7 th Recon Group until he came home in October of 1955.  He then completed 8 more years in the Army Reserves until he was Honorably Discharged on March 30, 1962.

Ken married Carole Woods on March 17, 1956.  Out of this union they had three daughters, Dena, Connie and Lisa.  They were divorced in 1962.

On September 28, 1963 he married Iris Jean Lewin Scott.  They were married for 41 years until her passing on October 16, 2004.

Ken worked for Glen Dick Equipment for many years then joined the Idaho State Highway Dept. where he worked for 12 years before he retired in 1989.

He was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Moose Lodges in Boise, ID, where he met and made many friends.
Ken is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Ralph) Kreizenbeck, Meridian and Dena Drips, Idaho Falls, ID;  step-children, Clay (Linda) Scott, Nampa, Idaho, and Teri (Rick) Owsley, Meridian;  three sisters, Judy (Ron) Watson, Utah, Janette (Leroy) Methaney, Mackey, ID and Lori Beck, Arco, ID;  one brother, Butch (Sue) Morris, Inkom, ID;  eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Orlando and Leora Morris, his wife, Iris J. Morris, infant daughter, Connie Sue, brothers, Gordon, Ron and Ray Morris, grandson, Thomas Lubbers, and stepchildren, Lance and Mark Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in the Arco Cemetery, Arco, ID at 4:00 p.m.
