Lance Dunne, 61, was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. As the oldest child and oldest grandchild in his family he was often the one who excelled. As a young child his athletic ability was evident in every sport or activity he tried. He easily water skied at 6 years old the first time he tried, he could ride a bike without help or play any sport well. He graduated from Borah High school in 1980 as the star quarterback. Lance’s ability to accomplish tasks also extended to learning skills in his work. He graduated from BSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and began a career working in the flooring industry. His ability to learn new skills made him so valuable to his family members who relied on him to help with any remodeling or building project.
Lance was part of a large extended family that spent so much time together. He loved boating, hunting, camping, and spending time with his children, brothers, father, uncles, and cousins in the Idaho outdoors.
Lance will be remembered for his accomplishments, but more importantly, he will be remembered for his compassion and kindness. He saw his daughters as his best accomplishment in life. He was very humble, loved deeply, and cared about others. His presence will be missed, but not forgotten by so many who loved him.
Lance is survived by his daughters, Taylor and Logan Dunne, his wife, Jayme, his father Dan Dunne (Jeri) and his brothers Chris Dunne (Cheryl) and Guy Dunne (Bobbie). He has aunts, uncles, and cousins who also will miss him deeply. Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Stivison-Dunne, his grandparents, and uncles who were such close advisors and friends.
Services for Lance will be February 5, 2024 at 10AM at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Flowers are welcome or memorials to a favorite charity in Lance's name.
