Lois Anita Robins

Lois Anita Wlaznak Robins of Boise, Idaho peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born to Roman and Evelyn Wlaznak on October 24, 1945 in Great Falls, Montana. Upon graduating high school, Lois moved to Spokane, Washington to attend nursing school. While in school, she met Gordon Robins and they married on May 5, 1967. They moved to Boise, ID in 1971.

She stayed at home with her daughters while they were young and then went to work for the Weight Loss Clinic and later Intermountain Hospital. When she retired from Intermountain Hospital this allowed her to travel all over the world including Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand,Panama, Costa Rica, Hawaii and Alaska. She loved to watch her grandchildren in their various school activities and sports. For over 50 years, she enjoyed her monthly pinochle games with her “card ladies.” In addition to spending time with her family, she also enjoyed golfing and spending time with her neighborhood friends.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gordon Robins, her daughter Diane Robins of Mesa, AZ,her daughter and son-in-law Janet and DJ Cherry, her granddaughter Payton Cherry and grandson Nathan Cherry all of Boise, ID. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Patty) Wlaznak, Myron (Paula) Wlaznak and her sister Edris (Virg) Staiger all from Washington. She is also survived by her husband's brother Donald (Karen) Robins as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws. 

Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in Lois’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association of Idahoor the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho.
