Lorene Arambarri was born May 7, 1921 in Picabo, Idaho. She went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Monday Feb 6th, at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Followers of Christ church officiating.
Lorene was born in a log cabin on Silver Creek where she learned the meaning of hard work on the family ranch, all the while though, she was dreaming of wonderful adventures that lay ahead.
In an age when girls were not usually fearless, or adventurous, she proved to be both. From assembling airplane engines for the war effort, to becoming one of the first woman real estate brokers in Idaho, to visiting forty-nine states, and 15 countries, to landing trophy Alaska King salmon, she was amazing. Her proudest accomplishment though, was teaching her grandchildren to cherish adventures that lie beyond roads less traveled.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents Garry and Lena Castle, and Frank Arambarri, her husband of 55 years. Survivors include her sister Ruth Browning, son, Gary Arambarri and wife Peggy, daughter Marjorie Hall, husband Bill, six grandchildren, 14 greats, two great-greats, and, a huge extended family who already miss her like crazy.
She was a woman of great faith, a doer of secret good deeds, an amazing wife, mother and friend.
