Lovila Anne Heinicke
was called to her eternal home on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at St. Luke's Regional
Medical Center, Boise, ID.
She was born on
Christmas Day 1928, a day she always cherished with joyous singing,
decorations, and family time.
She was raised on
the Idaho Ranch in Milner and enjoyed 4-H and all animals. She graduated from High School in Burley in
1946. Later in 1946, she met her future
husband when he came to Vicar at her local church. They were married in 1949 in Twin Falls, in
the same church where they met. For the
next 64 years (1 day shy) she faithfully followed her husband to 17 different
states and two different countries.
During this time she was an avid church supporter, Girl Scout leader,
homemaker, and always had extra room for servicemen in their home. She was a phenomenal chef and pastry cook for
the social events for the military and the church. She and her husband retired in 1976 from
being a military family chaplain. She
faithfully continued to follow her husband through his continued pastoral
career. She had always been supportive
of his ministry, she even helped him type his thesis when he graduated from the
seminary in 1950. They retired a second
time in 1989, after which she enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, flowers and
time with family.
Lovila is survived
by her devoted husband, Martin Heinicke, and her loving daughter, Ruth born in
1954. Lovila was blessed with four
grandsons (Jeremy, Elijah, Luke, and Marcus), three great-grandsons (Caleb,
Kaden, and Kyler), and one great-granddaughter, (Allison).
She was preceded in
death by her parents, Julius and Carolyn Neumann, and her three sisters and
their respective spouses.
In lieu of flowers,
she preferred remembrances be made to the Lutheran World Relief, of which she
actively supported.
Lovila and Martin
are both charter members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church at which he had
the honor and privilege to serve the congregation as Pastor and Shepherd for 9
years.
Memorial services
will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran on 2981 E. Boise Ave. on Thursday,
June 20th, at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will
follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10101 N. Horseshoe
Bend Rd, Boise.
