Mandy Brozovich, 97,
of Boise, died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at home of natural causes.
Mandy was born on
September 11, 1914 in Garfield, Utah, the daughter of Nick and Francis Peseli
Starkovich. On December 28, 1931 she was
married to Mike Brozovich at St. John’s Cathedral in Boise, Idaho.
Mom spent her early
years taking care of a farm, raising chickens, pigs and other farm animals
including milking 5-6 cows by hand. She had a large garden and canned much of
the produce, and she also raised four children! Her husband, Mike, helped all
he could. He was involved with the
logging industry through early springs and late summers.
In 1959 they moved
from the farm to a home that they had built for them. At that time her passion became her
yard. She loved being outdoors taking
care of her flowers and garden. She grew
many different varieties and gave away many flowers and vegetables to family
and friends.
Mandy was a great
friend and would help anyone in need in any way that she could and was involved
from time to time with relief society work.
She had a hard but happy life and leaves behind a family and friends who
will miss her very very much. We love you , Mom.

The Rose Beyond the Wall
A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days passed swiftly by.
it
spreads its branches, straight and tall…
One day, a beam of light shone through
a
crevice that had open wide ~
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then
passed beyond to the other side…
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be
comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God’s own loving care.
