Maralyn L. (Eggler) Burk
Maralyn L. (Eggler) Burk, 72, died on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home.
Maralyn was born on July 11, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to Benjamin A.
Eggler and LaVerne (Tauscher) Eggler. The family moved to Idaho when Maralyn
was 3.
While in Idaho, she graduated
from Parma High School in 1961 and from Lady Catherine’s Beauty College in
1962.
She was a cosmetologist at Going in Style for 24 years. She also tended
bar at the Broadway Bar part-time for 28 years.
Maralyn enjoyed sewing, flower arranging, reading, baking (she made the
best cookies, cakes and salads). She also enjoyed spending time with family and
friends. Maralyn was a member of the Elkettes.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Maralyn is survived by her daughter, Darla Callaway; grandsons, Chasen
(Krista) Callaway and Devon (Lisa Strader) Callaway; great-grandsons, Beckham
Callaway and Drimic Callaway; brother, Jim (Jean) Eggler, and her beloved cat,
Hamlet. She was a mom and grandmother to many.
An open house will be held at 2031 N. Regal Dr, Boise, ID, 83704 on
Sunday, May 15

, 2016 from 12p.m. to 5 p.m.
