Marcella Ramey beloved wife,
mother and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
Funeral services will be held
on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on
Monday, November 21

from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Marcella was born April 27,
1920 at Nez Perce, Idaho to Norma and Alvin Caldwell. She attended school at Nez Perce, Idaho. She met her life long companion Ronald Ramey
the love of her life and was married at New Meadows on November 26, 1935. They lived in Grangeville a short time where
their son Marsh was born, then moved to Emmett where they lived for 3
years. In 1939 they moved to Boise where
their daughter Kay was born.
In Boise Marcella was
employed at Lowell School in the lunch program, then as a clerk at Penney’s,
Sears, CC Andersons and Falk’s. She
worked at Boise State College in the bookstore for 12 years. She also did volunteer work at St. Luke’s
Hospital. Marcella attended Whitney
United Methodist Church and was involved in calling on shut-ins and in
retirement and convalescent homes. Later
she joined Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the prayer
chain. Marcella enjoyed working at
various craft projects and then sharing them with shut-ins and friends. No one was a stranger to her because she
loved people.
Her family’s happiness was
foremost in her life.
Survivors include her beloved
family; four grandsons, Ryan Ramey and
his wife, Patty, Denver, CO, Lance Davis, Boise, ID, Darren Davis and his wife,
Davalee, Boise, ID and Cory Gaskell and his wife, Valarie, Boise, ID; seven great grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Ann Ramey, Boise, ID and former
daughter-in-law and friend, Lynne Ramey, Scottsdale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her beloved
husband, Ronald Ramey, her son, Marsh Ramey, her daughter, Kay Ramey-Gaskell,
her parents and her brother, Ronald Caldwell.
Memorials are suggested to
the Boise Rescue Mission or Whitney United Methodist Church.
