Margaret Elaine Overstreet

Margaret Elaine Overstreet, 85, of Boise, Idaho, died November 11, 2023 in Boise. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel – 5400 Fairview Ave, Boise, Idaho 83706.

Margaret (Maggie) was born on June 12, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Charles and Selena Pryor. She grew up in Twin Falls, graduating from Twin Falls High School.  Maggie went on to receive a BS degree from Boise State University and a Masters degree from the College of Idaho.

Maggie married John Ray Cobley Jr.

On December 31, 1987, she was married to Robert D. Overstreet.

Over her lifetime she lived in various places which included Twin Falls, Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Star and Pocatello.  Her places of employment were Idaho State University Art Department and Hewlett-Packard.

She enjoyed music and playing the piano, movies, comic books as a kid, travelling, reading, crocheting, gardening and all things Boise State.

Maggie was an Honorary Queen of Jobes Daughters, and volunteered at Homeward Bound and Ada County Abuse Prevention Program.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Overstreet; daughter, Susan Cobley; kids, Adrian, Alicia, Chase, Cole, and Cade; daughter, Beverly Cobley; kids, Anthony (Tony) and (Nicole), Sara, and Jay; son, John Cobley III and (Stephanie); kids, Kristin (Charles) and Morgan; son, Khammoune Senethavlay and (Amy); kids, Joshia and Elija;  step-son, Robert S. Overstreet and (Kristen); kids, William (MaKayla), Olivia, Ethan, Steven (Riley), and Melonie;  step-daughter, Mary Overstreet and (Rick Walth);  kids, Emma and Simon;  13 great-grandkids;  3 great great-grandkids;  and sisters, Ray Ann Townsend and Judy Talbott.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, and her aunt, Evelyn Carey.
