Mary moved to Meridian, Idaho from Ridgeway, Missouri with her parents (Lee) Roy Allen and Flossie Allen in 1936. Mary and her seven siblings, Margaret (Wylie,) Roe, Lee, Bob, Jack, Don, and Martha (Campbell), traveled to Idaho in their Model A two door sedan, pulling a small trailer along with the hunting dog and family cat. The Allen family lived in a tent the first winter after their arrival in August.
Mary married James M. (Monte) Jensen in 1957. Mary is survived by daughter Margo Brattin Neef-(Allen.) Margo and Harvey gave Mary and Monte two grandsons, Dan Neef and Ray Neef (deceased), three great-grandchildren; Gabriel Allen Neef, Abigail Maria Neef, and Allison Rae Neef-(Ray). Dan and Ann Munroe presented Mary with three more great-grandchildren through their marriage; Chloe, Skyler and Cooper Munroe. Monte and Mary owned/operated Blue and White Plumbing, in the Meridian-Boise area until the moved to Donnelly where they abided nearly thirty years, allowing Monte to recover from cancer.
Mary and Monte enjoyed their life in Donnelly with their grandchildren and their grandchildren’s friends. They spent many joy filled hours building their mountain home, and watching their grandson’s competition water ski on the “flat water” of Boulder Creek at the mouth of the Cascade Resevoir. Monte and Mary’s marriage was the best! They spent many hours enjoying their “mountain friends” at the Donnelly Club, and their created “mountain resort.” Mary and Monte relocated to Boise in 2001, and Monte passed 2008.
Mary’s physicians, friends and family, nephews, nieces, grandsons, great-grandchildren, ALL are most grateful for their relationship with her. A long life with friends and family too numerous to count is a life well lived.
