Matthew Colin Mohler-Kerns came into the world on August 2, 1984 in Anchorage, Alaska.  He was a dearly loved son of Debbie Lynn Mohler and Ross Shaffer Kerns, and adored older brother of Nicholas Alexander Kerns and Heather Elizabeth Jacobson.

Matt moved to Post Falls, Idaho with his family when he was ten years old  He attended Ponderosa Elementary School, Post Falls Middle School, and Post Falls High School.  After completing high school, he ventured to Moscow, Idaho to attend University of Idaho and then on to Boise, Idaho to attend Boise State University, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.  He was going to return to Boise State in the fall to pursue a Masters of Business Administration.

Matt was an intelligent, gregarious, and kind soul.  He had a hearty, boisterous laugh that he often shared with family and friends.  He was passionate about sports, particularly basketball and fantasy football.  He had an artistic flair and enjoyed drawing.  Matt traveled extensively with his family.

Matt brought great joy to his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed.  He leaves behind his loving parents, Debbie and Ross Kerns, his brother and sister Nick Kerns and Heather Jacobson and her husband Chris. He will be dearly missed by his grandmother Lois Kerns, his grandfather Charles Mohler, his Uncle Chuck and wife Mary Mohler, his Aunt Beth and her husband Francois Rodigari, and all his cousins Claudia and Sandra Reithmeyer, William Kerns, Gabriel, Joelle, and Zoe Rodigari; and Elizabeth Mohler.

A memorial service will be held at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00p.m.
