Max V. Badesheim, Jr., 67, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Kuna, Idaho. Born on June 27, 1957, Max graduated from Kuna High School in 1975 and went on to attend Boise State University. Shortly after high school, he proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1983.
Max was a man of many passions, including riding motorcycles, supporting fellow veterans, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was a founding member of the Treasure Valley American Legion Riders, an association of Legion members who enjoy family activities and the opportunity to advance the goals of the American Legion through the sport of motorcycling. He was a member of the Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Northwest, a group of highly passionate, patriotic, and caring people who ride their motorcycles each summer to honor and pay tribute to America's fallen service members.
His love for family was evident in all aspects of his life. He is survived by his wife, Sharman Badesheim; his parents, Max Sr. and Janet Badesheim; his children and their spouses, Max III and Beth Badesheim, Jennifer Badesheim, Kevin and Monika Badesheim, Jackson and Heather Morgan, Ashley and Jane Talbert, and Roy and Susan Russell; his sisters Joyce Hodkins and Carol Badesheim; nephew Travis and Jackie Badesheim; many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Services for Max will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, starting with a funeral at 11 am at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 1 pm at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:30 pm at the American Legion Post 113, 22 W Broadway Ave, Meridian, Idaho.
