Micaela
Cassidy Bengoechea passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 3, 2014.
She died from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Micaela
was born 8/14/86 to Shane and DiAnn Bengoechea in Twin Falls, ID.
She joined her older sister Amaya whom she
adored.
She was a very fun addition to
our family.
She was always happy and she
kept us laughing.
Micaela was wise
beyond her years when at four years old she announced she was going to have a
boy and a girl and live in a blue two-story house when she grew up.
She was so 'cited' for kindergarten but after
she got the shots that were required she wasn't 'cited' anymore.
I use
to receive phone calls telling me Micaela had "escaped" once
again.
There was always hysterical
laughter when I answered the phone because she could be roller skating down the
sidewalk wearing only Mickey Mouse sunglasses and big rubber lips or a snowsuit
in July.
`
She
went to school at Riverside Elementary then Les Bois Junior High.
In elementary school she like to terrorize
the boys by trying to kiss them.
One
even told her she was a boy's worst nightmare.
She left a note for Santa one year asking for a Puppy and a new
"atytude."
Micaela
went to high school at Timberline.
She
drove her parents crazy by being the typical teenager x10.
She moved to Tucson, Arizona when she was
still 17 to go to Pima Community College.
She planned out where she was going to go and where she was going to
live on her own.
Unfortunately, Tucson
was not a good experience for her so she moved back to Boise after a
semester.
She then took on-line courses
from BSU.
Micaela was an avid BSU fan
and we'd talk about football for hours.
She
worked in the food industry since she was 15 years old.
She worked at the Arid Club for six years and
she adored the members and were told by many they adored her too. She felt
emotions deeply, especially for the elderly, the challenged and the rescued
dogs.
She loved both of her rescued
dogs, Bronco and Tank, especially Bronco because he came to her with a lot of
physical challenges and she was his world.
Micaela
loved deeply, especially her family and friends and they were always her top
priority.
Holidays and birthdays were
extremely important to her and she didn't want to miss even one.
We
absolutely adored her.
We felt so
blessed to have such a beautiful, intelligent, witty human being in our
family.
Anyone who knew her also knew
she had a quirky, unique sense of humor and she wasn't afraid to show that
anytime or anywhere (usually to our embarrassment).
Our
hearts are broken.
She was taken from us
much too soon.
She leaves behind her
parents, Shane and DiAnn Bengoechea, her best friend and sister, Amaya, her
much loved Bronco and Tank and her BFF, Nicole Pontak.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents,Orville
and Betty Harritt and Marcia Bengoechea and Uncle Ted Blamires.
She is
survived b y her grandfather, Dick Bengoechea, aunts and uncles, Linda (Dennis)
Batie, Phil (Jan) Harritt, Roger Harritt and Randy Harritt, Floyd Blamires,
