Michael Dean Krenning, age 70, passed away on February 7th in Boise, ID with his family by his side.
Son of Margaret E. Krenning (Sullivan) and Fred Krenning Jr., he was born on October 20th, 1953 in Loveland, CO. Michael moved to Boise in 1988 with his family where he began his 29-year career with City of Boise Parks and Recreation. Michael was a dedicated employee and enjoyed that he was able to be outdoors doing the things that he loved. Michael loved to fish, eat chocolate chip cookies and milk (every day), watch the Denver Broncos play (win or lose he was a true diehard fan), spending time with his grandchildren, and collecting anything he found to be interesting such as old record players to unique and antique tables and lamps. Michael loved his dog(s). If you needed to find him you would be sure to find him and his loyal K9 companion at the local thrift store each morning waiting patiently for them to open. Michael never met a stranger, he liked everyone he met and by the time the conversation ended you would know all about his grandkids as well as how much he loved his kids and how proud he was of them both.
Michael was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and truly cared about everyone that he came into contact with. He was generous, clever and full of knowledge that he had gained though his life experiences – he could fix or build just about anything.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, his dad, Fred, and many beloved pets that he cherished.
Michael is survived by his two children with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Krenning, daughter Melissa Loepp (husband Jacob Loepp), son, Wesley Krenning (wife Morgan Krenning). Four grandchildren, Jakson, Grace, Gaines and Harper.
Michael is also survived by his three siblings, Kenny Krenning, Mary Krenning-Saighman and Jerry Krenning, along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life scheduled for April 21st, 2024, Ann Morrison Park 1000 Americana Blvd, Boise, ID 83706 at the Ann Morrison Old Timer’s Pavilion from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
