Mildred M. Pieters, 99, of
Boise, formerly Jerome, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at home in Boise.
Mildred was born March 16,
1916 in Bruno, Nebraska to Cyril and Agnes Palik. She married Emil H. Pieters in 1940 in
Portland, Oregon. She worked for
Mountain Bell Telephone Co. Later they
farmed near Jerome, Idaho, spending winters at their home in Big River,
California. She was active in the Garden
Club, the Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed several card playing groups.
Mildred is survived by her
daughter, Lorraine and son-in-law, Dwayne McMahan, her daughter-in-law, Ginny;
a grandson, four great-grandchildren and over thirty nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband of fifty-two years, Emil; her son, Allan; sisters,
Sylvia Chleborad and Erma Kopecky; her brothers, Emil and Raymond Palik; and
numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Mildred’s family would like
to express their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to St. Luke’s Hospice for
their care of our Mom and us during these last days.
A memorial Mass will be held
at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic
Church, 1500 E Wright St, Boise. A
private entombment was held at Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls on Thursday,
July 30, 2015.
