Nella Marie Thurman

Nella Marie Thurman, 87, of Boise, passed away on August 1, 2024 at her home of natural causes.

Nella was born on August 25, 1936 in Wheatland, WY, to Otto Matz and Alice Mae Doyle. She was adopted by Raymond W. and Vivian I. Suiter on September 14, 1951 at the age of 15. She graduated from Boise High School in 1956. She married Donald Willhite and he later passed away in May of 1985. She then married Jack Thurman on August 27, 1993. He died on October 7, 2014.

Nella is survived by her children; daughter, Tammy Skinner and husband Paul, daughter, Karen Sorell, and son, Kevin Willhite and partner Marcy Boerst; grandchildren Ray Skinner, and Kandice Johns; great grandchildren, Marques Lemos Skinner, Bailey Lemos Skinner, Ella Skinner, Amelia Skinner, Christian Sanderson Skinner, Lexi Johns and Nathan Johns; and great great granddaughter Clara May Crocker. She is also survived by her siblings, Sue Mendel, Sid Meierotto, Bobbie Atkinson and Glen Suiter.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 11 from 2-4 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held the next morning, Monday, August 12, at 11 a.m., at Meridian Cemetery.
