the middle of five children of Elmer and Dora Brewer Nicolls.
She attended school in Nebraska.
Norma met her husband

Leo
Maslonka
,
at a dance and they were married shortly after on September 2
,
1932.
They farmed during their younger years in Nebraska before moving West. They had
intended to go to California
,
but stopped in Idaho to
visit relatives and made Idaho their home. They had two children, Dale and
Leona.
Norma worked at several jobs dur
i
ng
her life, retiring from J. R
.
Simplot Company. She took
up bowling and immediately fell in love with it
.
She
bowled on several ladies teams and she and her husband bowled on mixed leagues.
At one time
,
she was league secretary and later was secretary of the entire
city group of women's teams. She dearly loved bowling and all the friendships
made over the years.
Norma is survived by her daughter
,
Leona
and Jim Crockett; brother
,
Carroll
&
Barbara Nicolls; Grandchildren Gary
&
Kathy
Maslonka
,
Gale and Barbara Maslonka
,
Gwen
and John Lane, Gregg Crockett, and Glenn and Jeannie Crockett. She has 13
great-grandchildren and 5 great

great grandchildren. She
is preceded in death by her parents

three
sisters Elma Quint
,
Thelma Evans and Eula Johnson
,
her
husband Leo Maslonka
,
son Dale Maslonka and granddaughter Kelli Rose.
Services will be held at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel

Fairview Avenue, Boise

Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately following at Dry
Creek Cemetery.
