Patricia “Trish” Lee Weaver Vetsch was born to Jim and Ione Weaver
on November 7th, 1951 in Grand Junction, CO, and she passed
away November 23, 2016 in Boise, ID.
Trish (also known as Tricia by some of her friends) grew up in the
Boise area and graduated from Borah High School. She married John C. Vetsch on
June 4th, 1972. With John in the Navy, they lived in Chula Vista, CA briefly
before moving back to Boise, where she studied at Boise State University. They
bought a home on the West Bench to raise two children Jonathan (Jeremiah) and
Cara. Trisha spent most of the rest of her life there, dedicated to her
children, family, and church.
Her great loves in life included her relationships with friends
and family and with Jesus. Throughout her life, she donated both time and money
to Christian efforts at home and overseas. She spent many years assisting
people and saving lives while volunteering for the Suicide Prevention Hotline,
and she gave freely of her time and effort to the support of her church. With
great enjoyment, she participated in choir, Bible study, and camp functions.
When her health began preventing her from going out as often, Trish started
opening her home to those in need, giving them a place to stay, food to eat,
and the support of family. At home, she loved crafts, singing, dancing,
writing, poetry, collecting antiques, and spending time with her kids, friends,
and family. Whatever may be going on in her own life, her home was always as
warm and inviting as her smile.
Trish was preceded in death by her father, Jim; three brothers,
Mike, Al, and Jack; and her husband, John. She is survived by her mother, Ione
Weaver, and her brother, Gary Weaver, as well as her two loving children,
Jonathan Vetsch and Cara Vetsch Wassom, their spouses, and two grandchildren,
John Merrick and Aaden James Kay Wassom.
Her funeral service will be held at Parkview Christian Church at
201 W Ustick Rd, Meridian, ID
on Saturday, December 3, at 2 p.m.
