Paul Francis Cripps passed away on Sunday November 26th in
Boise Idaho at the age of 80. He was born in Pittsfield, MA at home on
April 10, 1937. As a child he worked at the neighborhood grocery store in
Dalton MA. He later joined the Air Force at the age of 18. He was
stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home Idaho. He also
worked in civil service on the Air Force Base. He retired from the
military and went on to work as a meat cutter at the first Albertson's grocery
store in Boise on the corner of 16th and State St. He later worked for
Atkinson Mirror and Glass company for many years. Eventually he opened
his own glass company called Paul's Paint and Glass. In addition he
operated a parking lot maintenance company called PC Maintenance which is still
in existence today. He retired and spent 15 years in Mesa Arizona with
his wife Avlin (Tonkin) Cripps who he has been married to for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife Avlin, his sister Loretta Burke-Cleaves from
Marlborough, MA, his brother Bob Cripps from Pensacola, Florida, his son Dwayne
Cripps of Boise, ID, daughter in law Kay Cripps and their 2 children Braden and
Mallory. Also his daughter Val Warren of Brea, CA and son in law Joe Otto
and their children Makayla, Carter, Stephen, and Taylor. Paul will
be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 1st at 1:30pm at the Tree City
Church of the Nazarene, 3852 N. Eagle Road, Boise, Idaho.
