Reverend Dorothy Ruth Marshall

Reverend Dorothy Ruth Marshall, 89 of Boise, Idaho went home to be with the Lord, May 12, 2017. Dorothy was born to Burrell and Bonnie Howell, May 29, 1927 in Van Alstyne, TX. She attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield, MO. where she met and married Jackie R. Marshall, August 6, 1950. Together they had four children: Jack (Marjean) of Salt Lake City, UT; Carol Hobdey (Larry) of Boise, ID; Anthony (Margie) of Springfield, OR; and Rayleen of Waxahachie, TX. She has 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Jackie Marshall, her son, Anthony and her daughter, Rayleen. Together with her husband, she pastored churches in Missouri, Texas, Iowa, and Idaho. She was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. For the past 11 years, she served as the pastor of Hillcrest Trinity Assembly in Boise, Idaho. She loved God, her family and the church. She will be remembered for her love, faithfulness and perseverance in the service of her King, Jesus Christ.
