Richard “Dick” Raymond Fuller, 85, passed peacefully at his home, Sunday morning, April 29 th .

Richard was born January 16 th , 1927 in Meridian, ID to Hester and Rex Fuller.

While still in high school, Richard enlisted in the Navy to help contribute to the war effort.  Upon completion of his service he went to work for and eventually retired from the Bureau of Reclamation.  On June 12 th , 1948 he married Athlene Sparks.  Together they had two sons.  He and Athlene enjoyed their retirement together by spending time with their grandchildren and great-children and visiting family near and far.

Richard was always quick with a smile and a laugh.  He was man that enjoyed his creature comforts and a spirited discussion about politics.

Richard is survived by his son Steven and wife Paula of Boise, son Nathan and wife Rina of Renton WA, grandchildren Robyn, Douglas, Alexander, and Samara, great-grandchildren Andrew, Jessica, Jacob, Hannah, and Alyssa, and brother Lee, along with many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff at Harrison Hope Hospice and Progressive Nursing for providing care and direction to Richard and his family in their time of need.

Services for Richard will be held May 2 nd , 1:30pm at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel, 5400 Fairview, Boise.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/idaho).
