Richard Loren Waller passed away at home on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from natural causes.
Richard was born June 30, 1933 in Spokane, Washington to Harry and Helen (Harsh) Waller. The family moved to Emmett, Idaho in 1941, where he attended school until joining the U.S. Navy in October of 1951. While in the Navy, he spent 2 years on the USS Blue during the Korean Conflict and then 2 years as a firefighter in Yokasuka, Japan until his honorable discharge October 19, 1955. While in the Navy, Richard studied and received his GED.
Richard worked on a survey crew for Idaho Power, Toothman
Associates and the City of Boise.
Dad enjoyed playing pool, driving his car and spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Helen Waller.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard (Bobbi) Waller of Mount Juliet, TN and Kris Waller of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Bret and Alisa; and great-granddaughter, Evyn; his sister, Janice Dalrymple; and brothers, Tom (Brigitta) and Bill (Barbara) Waller, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 W. Fairview Ave in Boise, Idaho. Pastor Tom Blackburn with be conducting the service. A private inurnment service will be at Joplin Cemetery.
