Richard Lee Newcomb (Newc), 79, of Nampa, died on February
9, 2018.
Richard was born on January 1, 1939 in Cambridge, Nebraska
to Dorence Newcomb and Ethel Nelson.
Newc married Sharon Smith at Lake Tahoe, California on July
21, 1978.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also had a
special interest for guns, cooking, and wood working. He was a member of the
NRA.
Newc was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter,
Pam Butler; nephews, Taylor Gramkow, Jeff Weber, and Josh Weber.
He is survived by his spouse, Sharon, of Nampa, ID;
children, Chad (Christian) Newcomb, of Phoenix, AZ, Shawn (Heather) Newcomb, of
Boise, ID, and Hal (Radka) Butler, of Boise, ID; siblings, Barbara Davis,
Carolyn Leonard, Bonnie Weber, and Linda Brunger; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday,
February 16, 2018 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. A committal service
with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans
Cemetery.
