1954 ~ 2016
Bob passed away suddenly on August 7, 2016. He was born on March 3, 1954
in
Portland, OR. Bob had a great childhood growing up on the grounds of the
Veterans Hospital in Boise with his brothers Jim and Brent . He went to
East Junior High and Boise High School. After high school Bob held
various
jobs until joining the United States Army. He served in Germany at
the
Pershing Missile Base during his tour of duty. Bob was most proud of his
service to our Country- always wearing his Army hat whenever possible. After the Army Bob enrolled at Boise State University and obtained his degree in Biology. Later in life Bob enjoyed fishing w/ his nephew James,
road trips and his cat Taun; he loved all animals. Bob was always writing; he wrote a book about his time in the Army and he loved to write and receive letters from his mother Sheila as well as our beloved cousins Marcia, Karen, Janet & Susan. He also had a penchant for following the news of the day and loved to talk about politics although he rarely took a side. Much like his dad Bob also was a regular at thrift stores; looking for anything that might be "valuable". Bob was a kind & caring person who would do
anything to help his family or others in need. He took care of our dad Ray for several
years enabling him to live independently an retain a good quality of life for
his
last years. He will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his mother, Sheila Brothers (Ed) his brothers Jim &
Brent (Karen) along with nephews, nieces, and cousins.
