Robert Augustus (Gus) Brown
1930 - 2013
Gus Brown, a career Air Force pilot, took his final
flight from earth on April 30 to his next experience in God's house of
life. He was born in Colusa,
California and lived there until he
entered the Air Force in July, 1954. He
served during the Vietnam and Korean era as a jet and cargo pilot. His colorful career included being requested
by Generals as their pilot, training jet pilots and serving for 4 years in
Japan. In August, 1974, he received a
medical discharge and retired as Lt. Col.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hazel and
Charlie Brown and brother, Barney Brown, all of Colusa, California. His surviving family include Jacklyn Brown of
Eagle, Idaho; Robert Kelly Brown of Chico, CA.; Kirk Baxter Brown of
Susanville; Charles Keith Brown of Reno, NV; stepsons Paul Buboltz, Medina WA
and Scott Buboltz, Camas, WA; nine grandchildren; and sister Virginia Boggs,
Davis, CA.
Alden-Waggoner is handling funeral
arrangements.
